Send a reminder email when a due date arrives in Google Sheets

What it does

This automation checks a date column every day. When a row’s date is today, it sends a reminder email containing values from that row — ideal for renewals, follow-ups, invoices, and task deadlines.

How to set it up

1. Install Sheet Automation from the Google Workspace Marketplace and open it from your sheet.
2. Put your due dates in a column (e.g. A).
3. Pick the “Send reminder when due date arrives” template, set the date column and the recipient.
4. Save — you’ll get an email automatically on the day each date arrives.

How to use this template

The builder above is a live preview of this automation. To run it in your own spreadsheet:

1. Click Add to Google Sheets to install Sheet Automation (free).
2. Open it from your sheet: Extensions → Sheet Automation → Open.
3. Open the Templates tab and choose “Send reminder when due date arrives”.
4. Adjust the fields to match your data, then click Save.
5. Trigger it once to confirm the automation runs.
